A1
First phrases
Greetings, self-introductions, ordering, shopping, and basic needs.
CEFR Courses · Core path stays free
Move from A1 survival phrases to B2/C1 discussions. Each theme is made of 10-minute learning units, so you know what to study today and where your progress is heading.
I'd like to order a coffee, please.
A polite, usable first phrase.
CEFR Path
Avo is not built around heavy long courses. It organizes real input into level, theme, and 10-minute learning units.
A1
Greetings, self-introductions, ordering, shopping, and basic needs.
A2
Handle simple exchanges around travel, plans, interests, health, and routines.
B1
Share experiences, explain reasons, state preferences, and connect ideas.
B2
Discuss work, culture, technology, advice, and clearer points of view.
C1
Use abstract ideas, attitude, nuance, and professional communication with flexibility.
C2
Handle humor, irony, complex narratives, and dense professional expression.
Today Unit
Each unit starts with a plain-language scene brief, then focuses on a small set of high-value expressions. Learners do not memorize full scripts; they practice transferable lines.
Ordering coffee politely and naturally
You walk into a cafe and want to order without sounding stiff. Avo explains the scene first, then guides you through native audio, expression breakdowns, shadowing, and review.
I'd like to order a coffee, please.
I want to order a coffee.
Nothing fancy.
Keep it simple.
Whatever you recommend.
Your recommendation is fine.
Learning Loop
No matter which CEFR level you choose, the core experience stays clear: real input, subtitle understanding, speaking practice, quizzes, and review.
01
Real video clips with timed subtitles
02
Word taps, phrase meaning, sentence context
03
Shadowing recordings and actionable feedback
04
Micro quizzes and spaced review queue
Learning Modes
Avo does not force every learner into the same difficulty. Beginners need clarity, intermediate learners need output, and advanced learners need less subtitle support.
Chinese-first explanations and bilingual subtitles help learners understand the scene before speaking.
Expression breakdowns and shadowing help learners move from understanding to use.
Less subtitle support, listening questions, and tone imitation build stronger real-world comprehension.
Free Boundary
Avo's daily recommendations, single-lesson study, subtitle interaction, shadowing, quizzes, and review queue belong to the core path. Future optional structured courses may add stage plans, handouts, assignments, or live guidance, but they will not block the free 10-minute loop.
